Souvik Ghosh began his career in the public health sector, working on sexual and mental health and rights of queer and transgender communities, as well as on programmes for elimination of parent-to-child vertical transmission of HIV. He remains deeply committed to advancing queer and transgender rights in Kolkata. Currently, he serves as a project manager in the climate action space, leading initiatives to address the climate crisis by eliminating single-use plastic pollution from street food vending through the promotion of reuse systems across multiple regions of India.
