  • This photograph shows an installation at the art exhibition ‘Futures of Prides Past’ organized at the Indian Council of Cultural Relations, Kolkata on June 28 and 29, 2024 to mark the 25th anniversary of ‘Friendship Walk ‘99’ and the 55th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. The image shows a red box, akin to a post box. The red box has black accents and is perched on a white stand next to a wall. The front side of the red box carries the text “PO Box 10237” and a stamped ‘Friendship Walk’ 25th anniversary logo. On the box is placed a stack of beige postcards and two sketch pens of purple and brown inks, and a sign board in white with a black border and the 25th anniversary logo. The sign board reads, “How do you dream your own queer future? Write us a postcard. Address it to whomever you wish would read it, named or unnamed, even if it is yourself and drop it in the post box.” Installation art credit: Debjyoti Ghosh and other exhibition volunteers
