Debjyoti Ghosh reviews Leonard Cortana’s short documentary 'Marielle’s Legacy Will Not Die'
This illustration shows a colourful poster of Leonard Cortana’s documentary film ‘Marielle’s Legacy Will Not Die’, which has been reviewed in the accompanying article. To the left-centre of the poster is a stylized, cheerful and smiling image of Marielle Franco, who was an upcoming and spirited Afro-Brazilian human rights activist. She was assassinated by her detractors in March 2018. Behind this image is another stylized and fierce side profile image of Marielle where she seems to be growling like a tiger or a lion.
